Account Information: Email address, display name/username, profile information you choose to provide.

Authentication Data: Sign-in credentials (managed securely through Firebase Authentication), Apple Sign-In tokens (if you use this service).

Debate Content: Voice recordings during debates, topics you debate, your debate positions (for/against).

User-Generated Content: Votes you cast on debates, any reports or feedback you submit.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device Information: Device type and model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information.

Usage Data: App features you use, time and duration of activities, debate participation history, interaction with other users.

Analytics Data: App performance metrics, crash reports and diagnostics, feature usage patterns.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third-party services you use to sign in, such as Apple, including your name and email address as permitted by your privacy settings on those services.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Enable real-time voice debates
  • Process and display debate results
  • Facilitate voting on debates
  • Analyze usage patterns and trends
  • Diagnose technical issues
  • Evaluate debates using artificial intelligence
  • Enforce our Terms of Service
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations
  • Moderate content for community safety

3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 With Other Users

Your display name and debate participation are visible to other users. Promoted debates (recordings) are publicly accessible. Your voting activity may be aggregated in public vote counts.

3.2 With Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf:

  • Firebase (Google) - Authentication, database, storage, analytics
  • Agora - Real-time voice communication
  • Anthropic - AI debate evaluation

3.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required by law, court orders, government requests, or to protect our legal rights and user safety.

4. Data Retention

  • Account information: Until account deletion + 30 days
  • Debate recordings (non-promoted): 48 hours after debate completion
  • Promoted debate recordings: Indefinitely (until manually removed)
  • Usage analytics: 24 months
  • Crash reports: 90 days

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, secure authentication mechanisms, regular security assessments, and access controls. However, no method of transmission is 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal information
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data (via Profile > Settings > Delete Account)
  • Opt-Out: Disable push notifications and analytics via device settings

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. We implement appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses and data processing agreements.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have rights to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell your personal information.

10. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we process your information based on contract (to provide services), legitimate interests (to improve our services), consent (for optional features), and legal obligation. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Voice Recording Notice

By participating in debates, you consent to the recording of your voice. These recordings are used for debate playback and evaluation, may be reviewed for moderation purposes, and may be made publicly available if the debate is promoted.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date.
